curitiba-based aia records returns with it s second release. lucas and marcelo also known as doneck, started to join forces back in early-2013. musically influenced by international recognised artists such as san soda, andre&#769,,s and move d, the duo also found significance in the sounds of aia s own label heads aninha & antonela antonela giampietro. therefore, creating a mixture of three soulful, deep but endlessly sounding tracks seems very convincing and credible to the overall ethos of the imprint. with assaz the duo delivers a deep but soulful house number, whereas ocluso is deep house at it s best, with a light atmospheric vibe and the echoing vocal. last but not least, te&#770,,nue creates this feeling of weightlessness and ease with warm natural added sounds and it s groovy bassline.

limited collectors edition of 300 copies only of this rare italian disco funk studio project from 1977 run by pino presti. today is very rare but the value of this reissue is that contains for the first time ever all the original versions plus the long version that never saw the light, because for some reason both 12 and the 7 inch original vinyl contains only the short cuts (called part 1 / part 2).

amin peck is an electronic studio project, contaminated by the new wave from u.k. like most ’80s electronic bands. amin-peck walked a fine line between disco and minimal wave throughout the course of the early 1980s, oftentimes incorporating shameless pop melodies and avant-garde leanings. amin peck were an italian band leaded by giorgio fioroni (aka george fyron, arrangements, production, vocals) with leonard parker (arrangments, keyboards) and max marne (production). incredible but true, amin peck started as hard rock guitar band in the 70s... and becoming one of the best examples of italo disco. this limited edition it contains full-length versions plus uncut audio material (a2) tracked down during tape restoration. originally released back in 2006 destination boogie has been one of zr s most popular and respected compilations. in fact we recently reissued it on vinyl for the first time. there s a lot of crappy edits out there, we believe these dr packer reworks are very worthwhile, well constructed new versions that make the tracks more playable for today s dancefloors whilst retaining their boogie tastic musicality. since the album was released the whole edit culture has exploded so we thought it would be a nice idea to get one of the best, dr packer, to rework four of the most danceable cuts from the album. we at zr hq think he s done a great job on these.

deep dark industrial ambient. a slowly evolving soundscape with boiling buzzing sounds, resonating through the dark world.the berserk was perhaps one of the world s best fighters, which in old norse time sworn allegiance to the norse god odin. before a battle berserkers excited each other up and occurred in bearskin or wolf skin, hence the word berserk. in the beginning of the battle they performed exceptionally talented, indifferent battlers, but in close combat they fell into berserk. then they howled like wild beasts, probably to frighten the enemy and incite their comrades and themselves, and then get into rages. a berserk in battle were said not to bother about any injuries, and was therefore until the enemy, or they died.

motormännen make information techno infused with an air of swedish nostalgia through a filter of retro-futuristic skepticism. the music is packed with minimal acid loops and samples with excerpts from swedish politicians, documentaries and christer glenning, reflecting on times when the cold war and the traditional welfare state were dissolving. inhibitions were relaxed and new, foreign influences crept into the body of society and the old information monopolies. motormännens tracks are visually enhanced by messages from pictures and videos from the 1970s and 80s. motormännen released their debut album *informationstechno* on cassette in 2014, which was nominated for best swedish dance album of the year at manifestgalan 2015. during 2015 the band received attention from swedish radio p2 and p3 and performed a series of gigs at home in stockholm.

with releases and on sci+tec, tronic, trapez, rawthentic etc. frenchman matt sassari already walks on a great path with his style. so amir and butch were even prouder to get the chance to release a second ep with four more bombs from the man from marseille. stripped down techno at its best.

front the roots of i records comes the very first and original release of somore i refuse (what you want). the vocals resonated by damon trueitt as his bridge of -what you want- has gone on to strike chords in people s hearts almost 20 years later. this first release came with ny deep remixes by wayne gardiner (best known for his work on strictly rhythm & nervous records). it also featured production work by the original filthy rich. released in 1996, the record went on to spawn a list of uk influenced remixes.

i first heard of julixo when i put my hands on his fantastic ep called silas released on rauh 005. after that, i kept a close eye on the sounds he was posting, and when i heard rebho, i knew we were going to do something together. the warm synth line, together with the jackin drum patterns, were perfect. then came reflections, which fitted superbly with rebho. although slower, and maybe more introspective, you still have that warm feeling going through the track. we decided to go with life of crime on the other side of the record. much more aggressive in its construction, that track deserved a side on its own: modern techno at its best. i hope you will enjoy this nice versatile release as much as i do! best regards, philippe petit
